Youth Dance Ambassadors Wanted!
Saturday, March 28 ,12:30 p.m. at PACE

Dancers who audition on March 28 will be placed in at least one of the ballet, jazz or hip hop dances to be performed in our spring show, Broadway Lights! These dancers will work with the teachers who will lead the summer companies, hear more about the summer programs, and get a sneak preview of what is to come. Rehearsals for Youth Dance Ambassadors are on Saturdays, April 4-May 2,between the hours of 12:30-5:00, location and specific times TBD. Once parts are accepted, dancers are expected to attend all of their rehearsals. Rehearsals are an essential part of preparing each dancer — and the entire cast — for a polished and successful performance. These rehearsals allow us to clean choreography, finalize spacing, and ensure everyone feels confident on stage. Availability plays an important role in casting and may impact which parts are offered. The Saturday rehearsal schedule is posted on our website under Shows → Saturday Rehearsals.

Sign up & fee

  • Complete the Audition Form below to sign up (walk-ins accepted).

  • Pay Audition Fee (covers rehearsal time + costume rental). Pay online only—no cash/checks.

Audition schedule:
Arrive 15 minutes early to check in and complete paperwork. Dancers should audition with their age group.

  • 12:30–1:15 pm: Ages 6–8 (ballet, jazz, hip hop)

  • 1:30–2:00 pm: Ages 9-11 (hip hop)

  • 2:15-3:00 pm: Ages 9-11 (ballet, jazz)

  • 3:15-4:00 pm: Ages 12+ (jazz, hip hop)

  • 4:15–5:00 pm: Ages 12+ (ballet/pointe)

What to wear

  • Girls: black leotard, pink tights, ballet and/or jazz shoes or foot undies, tennis shoes for hip hop

  • Boys: black and white dance wear, ballet and/or jazz shoes or foot undies, tennis shoes for hip hop

  • Hair pulled back; minimal accessories. Stage makeup optional.

What to expect

  • Dancers check in, receive a number, and complete judges’ sheets.

  • In studio: learn short choreography + across-the-floor work, then perform in small groups.

  • Teachers evaluate technique, stage presence, and musicality.

  • Parents may watch from the lounge.

Casting

Results and rehearsal schedule will be emailed. Acceptance/decline deadline is included in the email.

Video auditions

If unable to attend, submit a video (under 2 minutes) by March 28 to colleen@tdanceconn.com.

  • Start by stating name & age.

  • Show skills in chosen style.

  • Submit via Google Drive.

  • Sign-up form + audition fee are still required.
